Our Home is focused on ensuring residents are in a safe and calm environment with the knowledge that they are free to live to the best of their capacity.

Situated on a five-acre site within the sheltered and picturesque setting of Tralee Bay, and located just under one mile from Tralee town centre in an area of great natural beauty and tranquillity, we provide exceptional care for 64 residents. Our rooms have private en suite and most are single occupancy.

Residents at Aperee Living Tralee enjoy a relaxed, safe and secure environment where person-centred care is a core principal of our ethos. Care is provided by our accredited staff who are individually and collectively focused on tending to residents with respect, compassion, trust and excellence.  We are supported on delivering on our promise by a competent team of experts and service providers who share our passion for good quality care. We are continually listening and improving so that we can enhance and develop ways to ensure the best possible quality of life for all who live, work and visit the home. 

We strive to provide a homely atmosphere throughout the premises which is further enhanced by the warmth and welcome of the central area which encourages all to participate in social activities and to integrate with friends and visitors.

Aperee Living Tralee is located close to the town, Siamsa Tire, Shopping Centres, Sliabh Mish mountains and to the sea. This enables our residents the opportunity to partake in community and social activities.

Qualifications: Registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science honour’s Degree in General Nursing from Tralee. Michelle has also gained qualifications in gerontology and a leadership and management certificate.  

Professional Focus

Michelle’s experience ranges from the acute setting in the UK where she worked as a respiratory nurse to the nursing home setting where she has previous experience as both a Clinical Nurse Manager and an Assistant Director of Nursing. Michelle’s focus is in enabling residents to be involved in their decision-making process and encouraging their independence as much as possible. She is focused on ensuring that care is person centred and that all members of the team work together to achieve excellent person-centred care.

Activities

Healthy lifestyle choices and recreational activities are an integral part of how we operate on a daily basis at Aperee Living Tralee. Our aim is to encourage residents to continue with pastimes and hobbies as well as facilitating social and community contacts.

Residents can request any activity that they are interested in and we will endeavour to facilitate requests that are safe and within reason. In addition, activities such as the following are integral parts of our weekly activities diary:
