Regina is a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and has worked in gerontological nursing since qualifying from Dundalk IT in 2008. She has gained experience in different management roles in the gerontology sector over the last 10 years, including Clincal Nurse Manager and Assistant Director of Nursing. Regina has completed a Certificate in Gerontology and a Post Grad Certificate in Management and Leadership for Healthcare in WIT.

Professional Focus

Regina has gained a lot of experience working in the gerontological setting since finishing her degree and it is her intention to continue improving her skills and ability to provide excellent care for those living in Aperee Living Ballygunner. Regina is particularly interested in the areas concerning cognitive impairments and palliative care and intends to continue broadening her knowledge to provide a better quality of life to those she cares for.

Regina likes to lead by example and still enjoys the interactive aspect of her role and getting to know her residents better by spending time with them and their families. She also works closely with her team to understand how she can ensure they have a working environment that is conducive to providing the best care for the residents at Aperee Living Ballygunner.

Events and activities are a huge part of life at Aperee Living Ballygunner. We create a full calendar of activities throughout the year for you to enjoy, and we value your help in putting this calendar together. We’ll do all we can to help you stay active, because we know this makes a big difference to people’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

We believe that regular exercise will help you keep strong and moving as you grow older, so we offer lots of exercise classes and floor exercises. These are very enjoyable and easy for anyone to do. We combine them with social activities like baking and flower arranging, which help you use the skills you’ve built up over a lifetime.

Our dedicated activities coordinator and care team enjoy helping our residents plan activities that are brilliant for your body and mind. With our activities, you can carry on living the happy, fulfilling life you have always lived.
